Fundraising for your church or group

INTRODUCING A NO RISK, NO COST OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE SIGNIFICANT FUNDS FOR YOUR CHURCH, SERVICE CLUB OR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHILE INSPIRING AND ENHANCING THE LIVES OF YOUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS!

Noted national speaker, author, entrepreneur and adventurer Kenny Rogers is planning on being in your area during the summer and fall of 2010 presenting his award-winning presentation and training, Pedaling on Purpose.

Over the past 25 years, churches, youth groups and schools have paid hundreds of dollars, corporations and non-profit organizations thousands of dollars to hear Kenny speak on his 10,288 miles bicycle journey across all 48 states, sharing lessons learned on the road that have positively changed thousands of lives in his audiences.

“Kenny Rogers was the dinner speaker at our recent seminar for young adults. He was the hit of the day, receiving mostly 5’s (the highest choice) on the evaluations…He readily captures the audience with humor, insights and accounts of his personal struggle and triumph. He is engaging, personable and articulate. Our participants were in the 18-35 age group, but Kenny’s presentation would be appropriate for children, teens and older adults. I highly recommend him to you.’’

This year, however, in celebration of his newly published book of the same name, and in a refocused strategy with his life purpose of raising funds for nonprofit groups and churches whose missions are changing lives for the better, you can now bring in Kenny FOR FREE. But even more importantly, with his brand new program SPLITTING THE GATE, Kenny will help you raise hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars without a bake sale, a planning and labor-intensive all day fair or selling raffle tickets. Let me rephrase that.

With absolutely no risk to you and virtually no out-of-pocket money, you can potentially raise several hundred dollars or more for your church, service group or non-profit organization by bringing Kenny in for his one hour, award-winning keynote presentation that without adding calories will entertain, bless and inspire the whole family. Included is a second 90-minute to two-hour seminar offering life-changing strategies and insights for all adults and teens.

So how does this “Split the Gate” thing work and put funds in our pocket without risk and out-of-pocket money?

Split the Gate or “Share the Gate” fundraising has been around for a long, long time, but very few speakers invest their time and energy in what I believe is a wonderful win/win strategy. The quick answer is that your church, service group or non-profit organization has the responsibility to promote the event and sell tickets to people who want to attend and I have the responsibility to speak and present my multi-media show and an additional training. We then split the profits.

Let’s use a very conservative and concrete example to see the ease for you and the upside potential. Let’s say that you are a medium-sized church serving your community. Together we decide that we would like this event to take place in 30 days. I will print out tickets priced at $15 for single adults, $25 for couples and $30 for entire families. I will also send you a list of ideas as to how to promote my upcoming event at your church such as mentions in two church bulletins, an upcoming spotlight on your website, a blurb for your email list, posters that you can post or hand out, etc.

Let’s presume that a mere 60 tickets are sold in 30 days.

20 singles at $15 or $300
20 couples at $25 or $500
20 families at $30 or $600

TOTAL FUNDS GENERATED $1400 minus shared expenses. At this point, expenses may total less than $50 or a $1,350 split, totaling $675 for your church with relatively minimal effort and numbers. Plus I will donate an additional 10% on any products that I sell at the event. If I sold only 20 books, (and more multi-media products are coming, all that you can preview before I make them available) that would add another $50 for a total of $725 for a half day in your church basement!

This example can certainly be translated with variables to a Rotary club chapter, charity, non-profit organization and associations. The upside at this moment is no financial risk to you, no out-of-pocket expenses, as what minimal expenses do occur can come out of monies generated by advance ticket sales, and bottom line your group or members will be inspired, encouraged and strengthened by positive messages and life-enhancing strategies and insights.

There are no minimums required on your part, but merely a good faith commitment that you or staff members will put in the effort to do the best possible for both of us.
