I’m kind of a best seller type of reader and seem to enjoy books that entertain me more than ones whose purpose it is to educate or motivate. I thoroughly enjoyed your book. When I started I thought I was reading an inspirational/motivational book (which of course it was) but what I didn’t expect was to be so completely entertained. What a great job you (and Steve) did of telling your story. Again, congratulations.

Hey Kenny, What a unique and awesome experience for you. I have finished the book for the third time, and I still get goosebumps. You have touched the heart of so many people. I feel very proud to know you and enjoy listening to your stories. I have passed the book along to family members who are enjoying it as much as I did. I will be sure to get it back so I can read it at least one more time.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!! I finished the book last night and was truly inspired reading about your trip. I can’t believe you young men took on something so awesome, especially with no bicycle training. It sounds like your friendship with Steve was truly a match made in heaven and I truly believe both of you had angels on your shoulders the entire time. You certainly made your families proud (even moreso than they already were) and raised the money for a very worthy cause. Tonight we picked up some friends from the airport and the gal was telling me of her high school senior grandson’s battle with ulcerative colitis. I told her about you and the writing of your book and she asked to read it. So you will inspire still another person, I am sure. God bless you, Ken.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I am a busy mom and don't find much time to read anymore but, once I started to read this book, I couldn't put it down! I felt like I went along on the journey. It was very inspirational and so neat to know that the two of them were from the area.

I just finished reading your fantastic book and agree with some of the people that the book should become a movie. Have you pursued that possibility? It seems that the random acts of kindness that were given to you two throughout your adventure and the courage and perserverance that you both showed would be great to see on the screen. I'm even thinking of Hugh Jackman to play one of you - what do you think? God bless you, Donna

I thoroughly enjoyed the book...it drew me in so thoroughly that I feel like I went on the journey with Ken and Steve myself! It was a selection our book club had made, and we were lucky enough to have Kenny come talk about his adventure with us. We were all so inspired that we are in the works to plan our own "give back" to the community. Thanks Kenny!

My aunt bought Pedaling on Purpose around my 11th birthday. I am now 15 and I have read it so many times that is is worn out, a little ripped, and has crease marks all over it. I love the book and every time I re-read it I feel stronger and I and inspired to do something like they did someday. I have loaned this book to many of my friends and they agree. Ken and Steve are awe-inspiring on a multitude of levels.

After being out of the insurance industry for a number of years, I heard a sermon at my church suggesting we look at ourselves and ask how are we effecting others in our life. As a then truck driver I felt a calling to reenter the insurance field as a way to help others secure their families' futures. Once I started down the road to reenter this career I started doubting my calling, but after reading Ken's words I was again inspired to endeaver to help people the best that I can with the God-given talents He has blessed me with. So thank you Ken as I feel you are a form of His voice guiding me in my life.

I absolutely loved your book! I hadn't read a good one in a while so when a good friend of mine suggested I read it, I thought i'd give it a try. Wow! I could not put it down, definately an inspirational book. This goes to show if you set a goal and put your mind to it, anything can be accomplished! Really an exellent book full of adventure, courage and strength!

Judy Hallgren gave me a copy of your book when she came to Thailand with me on a two-week tour this past Fall. She is so proud of your journey and of the inspirational words you share with all of us who have the honor to read your story...THANK YOU!

Thank you for your candidness. Thank you for the humor, disappointment, the determination, the honesty. Thank you for believing in yourself and in something far greater than yourself. Thank you for being an inspiration!

I had the opportunity to read your book while in Thailand and was then able to pass it on to a fellow traveler. May your words be a source of strength for all of us.

I had a blast reading your book. It was embarrassing to be both crying and laughing out loud on an airplane, but not embarrassing enough to make me put down the book. Thank you.

I absolutely loved the book!! I am not a person that reads many books (more newspapers & magazines) but this captured my interest from the first page. After I started it I couldn't put it down. That took some real guts & internal fortitude to accomplish what you guys did. Congratulations on the friendships you have built that will last forever!!

Ken...Pedaling on Purpose was a big help during the first few days home as I tried to forget what I was facing (Devic's Disease) and looked at what mountains, literally, that you and Steve had to climb to get through your journey. It's all about choices isn't it, as we choose if we're going to be happy or sad, fearful or faithful. Thanks...

I thoroughly enjoyed your adventures and wish I could do something as meaningful and fun as you did. It was very inspirational. Maybe I'll think of something I can do at my age (late 60's) that would be as selfless as what you two did. Loved meeting you and really admire your fortitude. No experience, no training, and you made it; you made your goal. Hope to meet you again sometime.
