We took this photo immediately after Steve and I were interviewed for the very first time, announcing both the start of Make-A-Wish of Minnesota as well as the first fundraiser, our quest of bicycling all 48 states. We asked the listeners to pledge money for each state line that we crossed. One hundred percent of the money was put into a special fund to grant special wishes for the eventual children of Make-A-Wish. We generated about $4,000 in pledges after only 45 minutes on the air, a record number at that time.
