HALFTIME

The same day that we pedaled our 5,000th mile, Steve and I stopped in Kansas for a break that we literally had to take. In this photo taken moments after we stopped and got off our bicycles, you can see that Steve has lost so much weight that he could be a poster boy for a bad disease or a third-world country. On the other hand, I look like I've spent a month at a health resort, having lost a needed 25 pounds or so. Steve headed for the hospital.
